Our granola breakfast cereal came about completely by accident. Ever conscious about the increasing amount of additives and preservatives in our foods nowadays, I had tasted a delicious homemade toasted cereal whilst visiting the Alps with my husband and young children. What impressed me most was the variety of delicious and healthy granola cereals on offer - I couldn't wait to get home and create my own special recipe.

Initially, I just had it on the kitchen table. Everybody who came to stay ate it and loved it and started asking me to make it for them. But it wasn't until my husband - not a granola eater - started eating it everyday with a handful of fresh blueberries, that I knew that I was on to something. Its importance to our family's wellbeing was reinforced when our daughter was prescribed a wheat free diet by a leading nutritionist.

Our granola has been freshly made using premium jumbo oats, nuts & seeds, slowly toasted with oils including hemp & pumpkin and sweetened only with honey. It's really good for you because as part of your low GI diet it will give you your essential intake of vitamins, minerals and nutrients as well as your Omega 3 oils that doctors recommend. It is also free of all E numbers and has absolutely no preservatives.

We are thrilled that LoveDean Larder has won several awards since its formation in May 2005, including a Gold in the Great Taste Awards 2005 and being crowned the Farmhouse Breakfast Champion (South) 2005. We are pretty proud of our acheivements, but most of all it tastes fantastic. Enjoy!
